Practicing the cast

After we rode bikes the boys worked on some casting in the front yard.

Connor seems to really like fishing, can't tell if it's the quite time with dad, the actually catching the fish, playing with worms or the fact that they often get Mc Donald pancakes for breakfast when they go that he likes the best. Maybe all of it;)

Ride on little lady

And of course Abby had to have some time to ride too;)

Ride on little man, ride on

We took Connor over to Walnut Creek to practice riding w/o training wheels!

He did pretty good! It was really windy and he takes after his mom with a nervous laugh so that was throwing off his groove too. Also the bike is a bit small so I think we are going to keep our eyes open for a bigger bike and keep trying all summer!

Spring Mantle

Here is my new spring mantle! I usually do the big wreath in the middle and some pictures or candles on the mantle but this time I thought I would change it up. I went on Pinterest to get some ideas and came up with this! You can kind of see the big eggs that the kiddos and I made for Easter hanging up too;)

My new running shoes

April 2, 2012

10 days before I found out I was pregnant ;) So needless to say they are being used to walk but I didn't really get to the running yet;) After Ferrall's I was really motivated and I was planning on becoming a jogger. Well I had been working out at the YMCA keeping in shape and getting used to a new routine. Getting excited to work my way up to being a runner, so I bought brand new running shoes. I ran for a few days, not much b/c I am just a beginer. Well then I found out I was pregnant and decided that taking up a new activity my body wasn't used to was not the thing to do. So come January ;) Maybe these shoes will be ran in! As for right now they are great for the walking I have been doing to keep in shape.

Summer?

This was a summer dress from last year! Her Lilly gave it to her and it was great that I could grab it and it still fit her! It is a little on the short side so this morning she had cute little lace trimmed leggings and her little green froggy shoes on with it but they didn't make it till the end of the day:)

Word Girl!!!

Her owie. She was running with the big kids on the way home from school yesterday and biffed it :(

While I was making bread, Abby was playing with her BEANS!!! That's how she says it so that is how I had to type it ;) She really likes her BEANS!!!

We brought up some of the Little People and LP animals and cars to use in the BEANS!!!

She really took her time burying her kangaroo ;)

Bread!!!

I have probably made 6 loaves of the Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day and the other weekend Ebby and Clark were down and so I helped her make some dough that we used for cinnamon rolls so today I got the courage up to make some bread all by myself!! The Healthy Bread in Five Minutes a Day is a no knead loaf which took a lot of the scariness out of bread making for me. Well this I had to knead! I think the dough looks pretty good so far. It's setting in my oven rising right now. It said that the dough freezes well so I am going to make one loaf today and freeze the rest to see how that works. Keep your fingers crossed that it continues to work well!!!

Abigail the Ballerina

So the other day I tried my hand at a different slipper pattern. This one was an adult size and I was trying to scale it down for Abby. Well............I was crocheting while she was napping and hadn't measured her foot or anything. Heck, I didn't even have one of her shoes handy! So I was just eyballing it.  It worked, ish;)

We had to lace it up though to keep it on because I made it way too little and you really had to stretch to get it on. But she loved the finished effect and ran around singing the Angelina Ballerina song with her name in it ;)

I have since, measured her foot and made marks on my ruler and I am almost done with her actual pair that fit ;)
