The Table

I know, I know you may be looking at this one thinking, why is she blogging about the table????? Well because I thought that it looked really nice:) I had a white table cloth and the cream dishes and napkins. The wonderful yellow and red tulips and of course the yummy food in the last picture to add to the look!

We had a honey glazed ham (my very first attempt at a ham!), apricot glazed carrots, strawberry and spinach salad with a sesame and poppy seed dressing and potato casserole! YUMMY!! Then we went to DQ and the "Big Park" wish I would have had my camera then too. The kids had a blast playing and Connor got up on the stage and sang an awesome song about "All day and all week" and then one about him being a monkey named George:)

Old Easter Pictures

I know that I had a picutre of Connor and me on the playground last year before the egg hunt and as I was looking for it I came across some more old Easter pictures!! Enjoy :)

Here is Abby's dress with the ribbons in and all done. She wore her pretty headband to school today too and though most people laughed, I thought she looked adorable!!! And, she really seemed to like it too:) I love the picture of us on the playground right before the egg hunt. I wish I would have let Connor snag a few eggs then because when the rest of the class came out he only ended up with 6 eggs!!! But he got some chocolate, a frog, and a hippo with a parachute so he was pretty pleased:) It was a great day and we all had lots of fun. My camera battery died so I ended up taking pictures with one of the teachers camera but didn't get them off before she took off for the night. Hopefully Monday I can get them and post some more!!

Spring Egg Hunt!!

Today was our Spring Egg Hunt. We "hid" so many eggs around our playground! It was cool and rainy most of the day and then about 2 hours before the hunt it cleared up and the sun came out and it was a wonderful day for an egg hunt!!!

Head Bands and Pillowcase Dresses :)

When I was in Ames a few weeks ago I had dinner with some friends. Amy was one of them and she had her little Olivia with her. Olivia had a really cute flowered headband on. Amy insisted I could make on so I tried!!! What do you think? I think that I will tack the flower down in a couple more spots and I just used the thread that was on my machine, which was red, so next time I will use black or whichever color matches the headband but I think that for a first try it's not too shabby!! Plus the hose were $2 and I will be able to get 3-4 head bands out of it and the flower was $3 for a whole branch of flowers so it was a great deal!!!

I also tried my hand at the "pillowcase" dress. I don't have any cute pillow cases laying around that I have been thinking, hmmm what should I do with that so instead I used some of my fat quarters!! I do have tons of those laying around:) and now I have a great little way to use them. I have collected just a few and never really have any plan for them, so I never really have enough of a certain kind to do a whole quilt with or anything. I also found that one fat quarter wasn't enough so I just did strips of 2 to make it big enough. I also have one that I use about 3-4 that Abby will be wearing today. I still need to get ribbon for this one so it still looks a little funny at the top but overall I am happy. The arm holes are a you know what to sew though.......(so don't look too close;))

February Pictures

We took the children bowling for the first time on 2-13-10. Connor had a great time as you will see in the videos when I get those up. Abby spent the first oh, 8 frames or so asleep on the table! She did enjoy the shoes and a snack too:)

High Waters :)

When Abby was born, my mom gave me a cute, cuddly little outfit for her. It was a cozy winter outfit and it was a 12 month size. I thought she was crazy because I can do math and my baby wasn't going to be 12 months until next MAY!! Not really when you wear fleece and snowmen but I accepted it and tucked it away. Well I was looking through some of her "next size" clothes in a bin that I had in the closet and guess what outfit was in there????? Sure enough the snow man outfit! Well I thought, "what the heck, I'll try it on her and see how big it is." Well, if you look at the pictures, there really isn't a worry about how "big" it is only on how "big" my baby is!!! They are high waters on her!!! When she stands up they are pulling at the diaper!?!?!?! Oops! well at least she got to wear it once, and it's in the washing machine right now, she will probably wear it this weekend too :) Sorry mom!!! She could have been wearing if for at least a month or two!! I even put tights on under it so her legs wouldn't get cold sticking out the bottom:)

I got many compliments on it too, I will have to keep it in rotation for a few days at least. We are doing Christmas with Paul's family tomorrow. Maybe she will wear it there too!

This is a blanket that my Great Grandma gave Abigail. Isn't is just such a cute, happy blanket. I love the colors, they make me smile. Abby likes the fringe:)

We finally got shoveled out and we made it over to my Grandparents house!!! Abby had fun spending time with her Great Grandparents:) Connor just had fun being in a different house! He was all wound up, full of energy!! We had a nice visit and even got Connor's picture in front of their big snow drift:)

So needles to say, Connor loved his Christmas gifts. Abby on the other hand preferred my mother's Croc. She did have a great time with her new toys too, I think that she just really wanted to know why we kept trying to keep the shoes away from her:)

Connor had a great time playing "good guy/bad guy" with his new transformers! He always has at least on in his coat pocket:)

Seven Months Old!

Well our little lady is now SEVEN months old! She is sitting like a champ, rolling all over, doing the ever loved army crawl, saying "dada" or dad likes to think ;), and just tonight she pulled herself up on the edge of the tub!!! She has had some scrambled eggs, toast, some juice and she loves them all!!! She was sleeping from 7pm-7am but since her tubes she has been waking up a ton more. We are working on getting back to that nice 12 hour night. Lets see, is there anything else???? Oh, she loves to sing and dance. She will shake and rock and laugh!!! She loves to be read to and sung to, she is such a happy little lady. She has SUCH a temper though :( We are working on that too ;) wish us luck! We sure don't need a diva on our hands, no time for that!
